OBITUARY: Funeral services for Ester E. Tollison, 64, 516 W. Seneca, will be
Thursday at 10 A.M. in the Second Baptist Church with Rev. Basil Berry
Officiating.
Tollison died Sunday (July 24, 1963) in a local hospital after a
three-month illness.
He was manager of the Fina Service Station until ill health forced his
retirement three months ago. Previously he had worked for G. and V. Electric.
Born in Wolf City, Tex., he came to Okmulgee in 1936. He was a member of
the Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mamie of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Gladys
Couch, Santa Ana, calif., Mrs. Daisy Canada, 717 N. Griffin, and Mrs. Lois
Grant, 713 N. Collins; three sons, Clinton, Santa Ana, Calif., David Glasgow
Air Force Base, Mont., and Jim, 510 S. Seminole; three brothers, Vernon,
Okmulgee, H. E., Tulsa, and Clarence, Lubbock, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie
Martin, Bonham, Tex., Mrs. Irene Thorpe, Lubbock, Tex., and Mrs. Bertha
Johnson, New Orleans, La.; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Home Ashlock, Kenneth Tollison, Wesley Tollison, Don
Tollison, Jim Lewison and J. O. Bohuslovicky.
Interment will be in Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of Buchanan
Funeral Home.

7. Virginia Gail Goodwin

GENERAL:

OBITUARY: Okmulgee Daily Times. -- Virginia Gail Leak, 82, of Okmulgee, died
Wednesday, November 29, 1995 in Eudora, Kan. She was born to Amos G. and Lena
M. (Cates) Goodman (sic) on July 9, 1913 in Indianola, Okla.

She was a longtime resident of Okmulgee and before her retirement had worked as
a practical nurse. She was an active member of Friends of the Library.

Mrs. Leak was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert C. Leak, on December 26,
1980; and a son, John Leak, in 1966.

Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Tollison of Okmulgee, Karen Avey of
Eudora, Kan. and Gaylene Powell of Laffyette, La; one son, E.C. Leak Jr. of
Lawrence, Kan.; one sister, Maxine O'Hare of Highland Heights, Calif.; nine
grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday at the Okmulgee
Cemetery with Rev. Lawrence Matlock officiating. McClendon Funeral Home will
be in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Friends of the Library, or the Salvation Army.
