GENERAL: Name given by Shirley Tollison
GENERAL: From Shirley Leak Tollison and Virginia Leak Goodwin. Both recalled
him as dying sometime shortly after 1939-1941. Shirley thought that he was
about 70 at time of death giving an approximate birth date of 1870. Virginia
said he died of Brites desease. He apparently went by HenryLater information gathered from the book Alex Sigmore of Hickory Creek gives a date of 1877
13. Edna Martin
GENERAL: Per Virginia Goodwin Leak, Edna died 2 to 3 years after Henry Leak.
She died from a heart attack in her sleep. She was 62 or 63 when she died.
Based on this information the dates for birth and death are estimated at 1875 and 1947. Place
of death and burial comes from V. Leak.Later information from the book Alex Sigmon of Hickory Creek reflects that Edna Martin was born in 1885 and died 1948

GENERAL: From obit. and Family bible records. Dau. Virginia says she was a
school teacher for part of her life. By her marriage to Charles Hogg she had a
dau. Bessie, who had a dau. Geraldine DeRieux, who married Allan Pease. Their
son Allan Jr. is an atty in Ok. City. Need to contact to see if he as any
info. about the Cates family.MISC:
Lena Cates is shown as wife #2 for Amos Goodwin.
She was born NEAR Fayettville, Ark. Died in the Stillwell nursing home.
Her 1st husband was Charles Hogg. She and Amos each has other children from
their 1st marriages.OBITUARY: Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27 at Roberts
Chapel fro Lena Mae Goodwin, 92, who died in the Stilwell Nursing Home on Sept.
24.
Born in Arkansas May 21, 1878, she was the daughter of James H. and Levina
Jane Cates. Rev. Herman Isaacs officiated at the service and music was
provided by a church choir. Interment was in the Westvill Cemetery, under the
direction of Roberts funeral Home.
She is survived by four daughters, Virginia Leak of Okmulgee; Maxine Ohara
of Citrus Heights, Calif.; Ora McDaniels, Shawnee and Florence Bradford of
Baron. One son, Gus Goodwin of Billings, Montana; 11 grandchildren and several
great grandchildren.
Acting bearers were Gus Keeter, Willard Keeter, Bill Goodwin, Lloyd Goodwin
and A. G. Bradford. Her nieces were the flower bearers.
