http://www.genealogy.com/users/s/i/g/David-R-Sigmon/nAlthough most sources, including the official at the Hueffenhardt Rathaus who created the genealogical charts for the entire village, state that the Georg Sigmann, born on 31 Aug 1612, is the father of Georg Sigmann (1653), Johann Bernhard (1654), etc., there's a problem in that there is also a death record for a Georg, son of Georg, on 7 Feb 1613. However, there isn't another Georg birth record listed, so I've accepted the common belief in this paternal relationship. What is most likely is that Georg Sigmann and his wife Margaretha Herzog had another son named Georg, who is the actual father of Georg (1653) and his siblings.
